Rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has launched the 2013 edition of the ‘I Am Sean John’ campaign for his designer label ‘Sean John’.
In this edition, the hip-hop icon has
selected four exceptional entrepreneurs around the globe to represent
this year’s campaign tagged the ‘International Sean John Man’. Nigerian filmmaker and CEO the media production company, 37th STATE, Bolaji, Kekere Ekun would be joining three other entrepreneurs for the ‘I am Sean John’ Fall/Winter campaign.
According to president of ‘Sean John’ label, Jeff Tweedy,
the idea behind the decision is to select men who embody the brand’s
entrepreneurial spirit, turning their passion into a successful
business, as well as making a positive difference in the world through
their professional, charitable, and personal endeavors.
To further affirm his concern towards
charity, Bolaji Kekere-Ekun has decided to donate his entire model fee
to a Lagos-based charity, ‘Bake for Change’
which focuses on giving back to society through activities that
positively impact the lives of less privileged youth and older adults in
Lagos.
‘I am honored to be a part of the “I am Sean John” Fall/Winter
campaign. This just shows that there are people outside Nigeria who
appreciate our work and with this, I hope to empower the Nigerian youth
to follow their passion and pursue excellence in whatever they do’, Kekere-Ekun tells NET.
Others featured in the campaign include silver medalist Tim Morehouse, American artist/programmer Ryder Ripps, track and field athlete Kerron Clement.
